Students - Overdue/Lost Items

Coulter Library sends courtesy notices to students' OCC email accounts to remind them that the item(s) will be due soon.  

Once an item is overdue, students will receive three email notices to remind them to return the item(s).  After the third notification, borrowing privileges will be suspended and and the student will receive a bill for the unreturned item(s). A restriction is placed on the student's OCC record which will prevent them from registering or receiving a copy of their transcript.  All restrictions will be removed once the item is returned to the library or their financial obligation has been fulfilled.

 

A patron also has the option of replacing a lost item with a used item in very good condition. The replacement must be identical in format (e.g., hard cover vs. soft cover, etc.) and in the details of publication (e.g., edition, year, publisher, etc.). A librarian may be able to assist with obtaining a used replacement.
