OCC 60th Anniversary Game & More

OCC 60th Anniversary Game & More

We are excited to share the online archive game that we created this semester is available to play! This game was created during the spring 2021 semester in collaboration with the Town of Onondaga Historical Society and the Onondaga Community College Archives. The game provides an interactive historical experience focused on Onondaga Community College and Onondaga Hill. At the end of the game, players have an opportunity to help us grow our archives by sharing their own memories of Onondaga Community College and/or Onondaga Hill.

Also, our library intern, Caroline Mann, and adjunct librarian, Rob O’Boyle, created some resources specifically for the 60th anniversary.

Mini Fan Project Kits

Mini Fan Project Kits

The mini fan creation project was funded by a grant from the Central New York Library Council and developed in partnership with Professor Mike Grieb from the Applied Technology Department.

A guide has been created that provides additional information about the project including instructional videos that provide step by step directions for creating your personal mini fan out of 3D printed parts, circuits, and simple machines. If you would like to make a fan, please stop by the Makerspace during our open hours or email us to schedule an appointment. Upon completion of the project and a brief survey, the fan is yours to keep!

Faculty: If any faculty members would like to make this activity available for their students, please contact us to work out the logistics.
