Interlibrary Loan Policy
All those borrowing from other libraries via Coulter Library's interlibrary loan (ILL) service must have a valid OCC Library card. Forms are available online and at the main circulation desk on the first floor of the library. Some of our databases also provide online ILL forms. Regardless of which form is completed, the patron will be asked to provide contact information.
Coulter Library does not charge for ILL. However, some libraries do, so the patron is also asked is he/she is willing to pay for the material, and if so, how much.
Coulter Library complies with federal copyright law. In addition, other restrictions may apply to materials we order for patrons from other libraries. We will explain any such restrictions when the patron picks up the ILL material(s).
The average time required to receive an item requested through ILL is 10 working days (approximately two weeks). However, some requests may take much longer, depending on what is ordered and where it is ordered from, so please plan ahead: Be sure to allow adequate time for your requested materials to arrive!
ILL request forms can be submitted at the main circulation desk all hours the library is open.
