Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

"Interlibrary loans" are items borrowed for users by Coulter Library from other libraries, and consequently are subject to varying loan periods and renewal periods, depending upon the lending library's policies. Interlibrary loans are subject to federal copyright laws.

ILLIAD is the software used to request an item. You must first click on “First Time Users” (just below the search box) to create an account. Faculty and students need to use their college network account.

After ordering items, you will receive an e-mail when your item has arrived. The average time required to receive an item requested through ILL is approximately two to five working days. However, some requests may take longer, depending on what is ordered and where it is ordered from, so please allow adequate time for your requested materials to arrive.

Note: A total of five ILL items may be checked out to one person at any given time.

Books and other returnable items can be picked up at the Coulter Library circulation desk; articles can be accessed through your ILLiad account. In addition, when you use the WorldCat database to search for materials, an ILLiad ILL form will be automatically filled in with the information for your requested item.
