Patient Port Pillow Making Event

Patient Port Pillow Making Event

Wednesday (2/27) 11am – 1pm, Coulter Lobby, Coulter Hall

The Office of Student Leadership & Engagement and the Coulter Library Makerspace & Club are sponsoring a Patient Port Pillow Making Event. We want to offer a small gift to patients with ports. At the event we will have sewing machines and supplies ready for anyone who would like to help us sew little pillows to help cushion a patient’s port when they ride in a car. A seat belt can be quite the irritant against a port. We will donate the pillows to Cancer Care at Crouse Hospital. If you would like to assist us with this effort, below are the various ways you can help.

Questions – Please contact Pauline Lynch Shostack (shostacp@sunyocc.edu) or Shawn Edie (s.l.edie@sunyocc.edu).

VHS Tape Recycling

VHS Tape Recycling

Do you have any old VHS/video tapes that are just collecting dust or taking up space? OCC will recycle all of your old VHS tapes during the month of February. Bring them from campus or bring them from home. Just bring them to the lobby of Coulter Hall, drop them in the clearly labeled and conveniently located box (at the base of the stairs), and feel good about the fact that they will be recycled.

What: Recycle VHS / video tapes

When: The entire month of February

Where: Lobby of Coulter Hall (the Library)

Cost: Totally free! If you have a large collection of tapes on campus, we can arrange to have them picked up for you.
